
Richard M. Golder
Mr. Golder is a partner in the firm and concentrates his practice in real estate law with a specialty in the area of commercial and major residential title matters, including the analysis and resolution of title issues on behalf of law firm clients, title insurance companies, institutional lenders and developers. He works with the real estate departments of many large law firms to help them address title issues presented by commercial transactions and land assemblages, as well as those that arise during conflicts between clients. As an agent for most national title insurance companies, Mr. Golder facilitates, underwrites and acts as escrow agent for complex multi-site transactions. He also represents buyers and sellers in real estate acquisition and finance. He is a Land Court Examiner, and has testified as an expert witness in the Land Court and Superior Court with respect to matters pertaining to title and rights of way. He has served on the Title Standards Committee, the Practice Standards Committee and served for many years as Co-Chair of the Registries Committee of the Real Estate Bar Association. Mr. Golder received his undergraduate degree from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and his law degree from the Cleveland Marshall College of Law. Mr. Golder is a member of the Abstract Club, an honorary association of members of the Bar of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, which, by its charter is limited to 100 attorneys engaged in the practice of real estate law, along with the Justices of the Land Court. He has achieved an AV “preeminent” rating from Martindale Hubbell and has been selected as a Top Attorney in the field of Real Estate by Massachusetts and New England Super Lawyers for the years 2005-2018.
